Christmas Break
My christmas break was uneventful. I slept away most of my days, and stayed awake all night. I wasn't allowed to drive much in the evenings, because my parents thought that I would wreck, which is very possible. I've wrecked my car quite a few times, and I have battle scars to prove it. It seemed like everytime I went out my car got dirty, so I cleaned it out about four times over break. I also started working out for a new year's resolution. My sled riding was limited because my arms were really weak. I went to the mall and bought tons of jeans with my christmas money, because it was really the only thing I needed. I had about $60 left over and spent it on gas and other junk. I read two books and did a reading log. I also worked on a 15 page journal. I'm only on page 12 now. Yesterday, I finally made use of my free time and applied for some colleges. Now I'm just stressing out about that. I actually believe that this break was a waste of my life.

Flash
Since we have started flash, my life has been horrible! I also use the program in game design, and I truly am the worst flash user ever. Luckily, in digital imaging there's no coding involved, yet. I've learned even more since I started using the program in this class, because for the past few months I could never remember how to do any of it. After being taught the same simple lesson about the basics of flash twice, I can actually understand it. I learned how to use motion tween, shape tween, layering, tracing, and how to use keyframes. All of which, I could not explain to you. I'd just have to show you. I really don't have a favorite, but the only thing we've done is work on this animation. I still haven't finished, because it's so frustrating to work on flash for three hours (this class and previous class) and not understand a thing that you're doing. I've became very familiar with the undo button. It is my most frequent action.

Photo Assignment

Photography isn't easy for everyone, but it's not hard to get a semi-interesting shot. I believe this is my best photo because of the angle and lighting. The photo is focused on one part of the image, which is the largest flower. It is shot from an angle that captures more of one side. Around the edges of the flower are blurry and dark, which keep your attention on the biggest flower that is more focused.

Photo Assignment
I am learning how to balance time while doing this photo assignment, because there is a lot to accomplish. I actually am enjoying editing these photos, because I am personalizing them. I'm beginning to master photoshop, and I know how to interact with most of the tools now. I'm also learning about photography. Anything can make a good picture. It's in the way you capture the photo, such as angles, lighting, and focus. I'm learning how to capture an image and editing it so that there is one thing to focus on. After editing, a photo can have more color or blur thanks to photoshop.

Company Projects
Company projects were one of my favorites. I really enjoyed making logos, especially if I was familiar with the product. I could put my creativity to use for something that I actually knew something about. I wish I would've been more familiar with Adobe Illustrator before I started making logos, because I would've put more effort into them. I like making the ACT posters, because I am familiar with ACT testing. I'm actually taking the test tomorrow. I have alot of great ideas for the poster. I'm just not sure what I am allowed to do for it.

Selbstato
I was in a group with Melissa and Jessica to create an unknown product. We came up with a self-driving car, Selbstato. The idea was great, and the images were really classic, so I definitely think we should rack up some points for creativity. However, the presentation was horrible. We had nothing planned when we got ready to speak. Jessica basically did all of the talking. We had a really great commercial until the computer was left at home yesterday. We focused on the commercial more than anything then yesterday we had to whip something up really quick. I don't think we deserve the best grade, but our intentions were good.

Adobe Illustrator
I'm still trying to figure Illustrator out. I've learned how to use symbols, texts, and the paintbrush. It's cool how the paintbrush can create an interesting font. Illustrator and Photoshop are the same type of program, but Photoshop is still my favorite program. Adobe Illustrator could be used for making cards, magazine covers, or billboards. Illustrator does not use pixels to create their images. Instead, they use lines. This image is called a vector image. When you zoom in, the image is still clear. Raster images have pixels in them. You could find them in photoshop. I hope to use more of Photoshop and much less of Illustrator. :)
