Flash
Since we have started flash, my life has been horrible! I also use the program in game design, and I truly am the worst flash user ever. Luckily, in digital imaging there's no coding involved, yet. I've learned even more since I started using the program in this class, because for the past few months I could never remember how to do any of it. After being taught the same simple lesson about the basics of flash twice, I can actually understand it. I learned how to use motion tween, shape tween, layering, tracing, and how to use keyframes. All of which, I could not explain to you. I'd just have to show you. I really don't have a favorite, but the only thing we've done is work on this animation. I still haven't finished, because it's so frustrating to work on flash for three hours (this class and previous class) and not understand a thing that you're doing. I've became very familiar with the undo button. It is my most frequent action.

Photo Assignment

Photography isn't easy for everyone, but it's not hard to get a semi-interesting shot. I believe this is my best photo because of the angle and lighting. The photo is focused on one part of the image, which is the largest flower. It is shot from an angle that captures more of one side. Around the edges of the flower are blurry and dark, which keep your attention on the biggest flower that is more focused.

Photo Assignment
I am learning how to balance time while doing this photo assignment, because there is a lot to accomplish. I actually am enjoying editing these photos, because I am personalizing them. I'm beginning to master photoshop, and I know how to interact with most of the tools now. I'm also learning about photography. Anything can make a good picture. It's in the way you capture the photo, such as angles, lighting, and focus. I'm learning how to capture an image and editing it so that there is one thing to focus on. After editing, a photo can have more color or blur thanks to photoshop.

Company Projects
Company projects were one of my favorites. I really enjoyed making logos, especially if I was familiar with the product. I could put my creativity to use for something that I actually knew something about. I wish I would've been more familiar with Adobe Illustrator before I started making logos, because I would've put more effort into them. I like making the ACT posters, because I am familiar with ACT testing. I'm actually taking the test tomorrow. I have alot of great ideas for the poster. I'm just not sure what I am allowed to do for it.

Selbstato
I was in a group with Melissa and Jessica to create an unknown product. We came up with a self-driving car, Selbstato. The idea was great, and the images were really classic, so I definitely think we should rack up some points for creativity. However, the presentation was horrible. We had nothing planned when we got ready to speak. Jessica basically did all of the talking. We had a really great commercial until the computer was left at home yesterday. We focused on the commercial more than anything then yesterday we had to whip something up really quick. I don't think we deserve the best grade, but our intentions were good.

Adobe Illustrator
I'm still trying to figure Illustrator out. I've learned how to use symbols, texts, and the paintbrush. It's cool how the paintbrush can create an interesting font. Illustrator and Photoshop are the same type of program, but Photoshop is still my favorite program. Adobe Illustrator could be used for making cards, magazine covers, or billboards. Illustrator does not use pixels to create their images. Instead, they use lines. This image is called a vector image. When you zoom in, the image is still clear. Raster images have pixels in them. You could find them in photoshop. I hope to use more of Photoshop and much less of Illustrator. :)

Logos&KISS&PSA
To create my logos in photoshop, I used layers and traced an outline of a tattoo with the pen tool for my flower. I added the gradient background for some color and text for my initials. KISS means Keep It Simple Stupid. It means not to make anything more difficult than what it should be if you will have the same outcome. I really was unsure about how my PSA should be until after I had recorded. The following day, previous PSA's were presented to us. I feel that these PSA's should not really be a big part of our grade considering it was our first time. I'm not just saying this because mine was horrible. I don't believe that I deserve more than a B- on this assignment. The only thing that was interesting were my pictures and even some of them made no sense. However, I loved making the music and given more time.. it would've been great. For the next PSA, I will be completely prepared with a good script and tone.

Bookmark and PSA
In the past two weeks, I've learned more about using new programs by creating a public service announcement and bookmark. The bookmark was less time consuming and way easier to make than the PSA. I learned how to change the size of the window, background colors, and more about layering in Adobe Photoshop while creating the bookmark. I also had no idea who was going to be Maid Silvia this year. Its interesting to see that people work so hard to make the Forest Festival so huge. Even a bookmark has an impact. I just finished my public service announcement today on career and technical schools. I learned how to make beats like Dr. Dre on a program called Garage Band. iMovie was another one I learned more about. It was a difficult task trying to get everything to flow together. I put my voice, music that I created, and pictures all together to make a movie. Garage Band is my favorite program and I hope we get to use it more.
PSA and Photoshop
I think Adobe Photoshop would be useful for many jobs. However, a photographer would probably use it more than most people. Covers of magazines, school yearbook pics, and many others are all enhanced by using some form of photo editing. I can use photoshop for my own pictures and projects in school. The program doesn't just have to be used for pictures. I've created different texts as well. PSA's or public service announcements are messages from people about a specific topic. They are used to persuade others to be for or against. The tagline in a PSA is the important phrase that gets the point across. Most PSA's are remembered for their taglines. You may not even believe you've seen or heard a PSA until you know what the tagline is.
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop has been very difficult for me to figure out. There are so many different tools. At first I struggled, because the program is very overwhelming. However, the more that I use it, the better I become at putting the tools to use. Although, the face swapping was, without a doubt, the hardest thing I've ever done, I loved it after i figured it out. I could swap faces all day. Matching skin tones is pretty difficult though. The only thing I could suggest for the instructor is to not move as fast, but I understand that there are other things that need to be accomplished in the class, not just mastering Photoshop.

Harassment
harrassment--Have you ever been harrassed?--Have you ever harrassed someone? Do you think harrassment is a problem in schools? Explain--Should there be punishment for harrassment? If you say yes what should it be and if you say no why do you think that. Have you ever witnessed harrassment? If so, did you try to stop it and explain why or why not?
I have been harassed as well as harassed others. Although, there are times when harassment is mistaken for jokes.
believe it is a problem in school. Harassment is a crime and there should be punishment. I have witnessed
harassment in many situations. I have defended people in some situations, but not always.
