Bookmark and PSA

In the past two weeks, I've learned more about using new programs by creating a public service announcement and bookmark. The bookmark was less time consuming and way easier to make than the PSA. I learned how to change the size of the window, background colors, and more about layering in Adobe Photoshop while creating the bookmark. I also had no idea who was going to be Maid Silvia this year. Its interesting to see that people work so hard to make the Forest Festival so huge. Even a bookmark has an impact. I just finished my public service announcement today on career and technical schools. I learned how to make beats like Dr. Dre on a program called Garage Band. iMovie was another one I learned more about. It was a difficult task trying to get everything to flow together. I put my voice, music that I created, and pictures all together to make a movie. Garage Band is my favorite program and I hope we get to use it more.

PSA and Photoshop

I think Adobe Photoshop would be useful for many jobs. However, a photographer would probably use it more than most people. Covers of magazines, school yearbook pics, and many others are all enhanced by using some form of photo editing. I can use photoshop for my own pictures and projects in school. The program doesn't just have to be used for pictures. I've created different texts as well. PSA's or public service announcements are messages from people about a specific topic. They are used to persuade others to be for or against. The tagline in a PSA is the important phrase that gets the point across. Most PSA's are remembered for their taglines. You may not even believe you've seen or heard a PSA until you know what the tagline is.

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop has been very difficult for me to figure out. There are so many different tools. At first I struggled, because the program is very overwhelming. However, the more that I use it, the better I become at putting the tools to use. Although, the face swapping was, without a doubt, the hardest thing I've ever done, I loved it after i figured it out. I could swap faces all day. Matching skin tones is pretty difficult though. The only thing I could suggest for the instructor is to not move as fast, but I understand that there are other things that need to be accomplished in the class, not just mastering Photoshop.
